Spring has Sprung in Unalaska!!!

Last week, we were learning about commas.  The assignment was to write a "friendly letter" to anyone they wanted.  One of my sweet boys wrote the following letter to me :)  Too cute!
On Thursday, the sun showed it's lovely self so we decided to go look for beach glass with Josh and Prudo. It was wonderful!  It's so nice to finally see the sun!

Prudo found a stick

Peanut decided to chase after this eagle - good thing the eagle flew off!  Little does Peanut know, but that eagle could win that battle!  Silly girl!
My Trooper has been having mechanical trouble.  I finally took her in to the shop and they discovered that it is a fuel pump and fuel line problem.  I am grateful they were able to diagnose the problem and are able to fix it.  In the meantime, we have been needing to walk to and from school.  Luckily it has been so nice the last couple of mornings!  This was our walk last Friday!

Hi Foxy!!!  Ran right in front of the school!  :)

Right outside the HS English classroom :)

One of my girls came in from lunch recess on Friday and asked me, "Miss Wood, can you hang upside down on the bars?"  I responded with, "Well, I used to be able to do that - I'm not sure if I can still do it though".  She then says, "I challenge you!"  :)  OK, game on!!!

Then Mr. Gook had to try too!!  Josh will be my teaching partner next year!  I'm really looking forward to it!  I think we are going to have a VERY fun year!!
We came inside from enjoying the sunshine to eat some DELICIOUS ice-cream cake!!  Yummy!!

Then, since the sun was still out after school, we decided to go to Josh's house for a BBQ.  Erin and I packed up our backpacks and camp chairs and headed out.  Along the way I saw my first flower of the season!!  Spring is here!!!  (Hopefully, at least!)

View from Josh's deck - not too shabby!!!

Last week while kayaking, Josh found this big ol' buoy and towed it home for the desk.  Now it's the deck couch!

Trent made pizza on the BBQ!  Mmmm!!!  :)

me, Erin, and Mary
We ended up getting about 5 hours of direct sunshine!!  It was glorious!!!!  The perfect end of the work week!!!  :)

Happy Sunday all,
Love, Am
