It's hard to believe just how much stuff a body really needs to travel up to AK! Turns out it's ALOT!! :) But the trusty Trooper comes thru yet again! We managed to squeeze in all my junk and still have room for a Costco run in Anchorage!!

We were originally planning to take off on Wednesday, but God had other plans. :) After several mechanical challenges that our guru (a.k.a. Dad) solved without even breaking a sweat (well, sorta...) we are now leaving this morning. It is sunny outside and we are almost totally packed up and ready to go. Finishing touches are being added, reorganized and packed. Animals are getting their final loves and good-byes. Beds are being made. Final meals are being eaten - well, final meals from "home". Chore lists are being printed and distributed. Now we just need to get ourselves buckled up and out the driveway.

Please be praying for safe travels, no mechanical problems and that we all reach Homer together and at the same time!! We are emptying our camera memory cards so get ready for some pictures when we finally hit civilization again! :) Until then!

The New "Rig" : : Isuzu Trooper

After searching craigslist and classified ads, Dad found "the perfect rig for you" and off we went to investigate. After a quick trip to the bank, many questions asked and answered, a test drive and several hours later, I became the proud owner of a completely refurbished 1987 Isuzu Trooper...here she is:
